The need for social workers in college counseling centers is great. This is especially true as our nation continues to grapple with the COVID-19 pandemic, systemic racism, economic inequality, climate change, war and other crises. That is why the theme for Social Work Month and for the AUCCCSWT Annual Summit 2022 is The Time is Right for Social Work.

Social workers in college counseling centers are uniquely qualified to help students with the many complex challenges they face in college. Social workers foster the well-being of students by bringing social work values and culturally competent clinical services to help student succeed in these challenging times. How do we incorporate our social work values in our work in college counseling? How do we navigate the cultural and generational differences in supervision? How do we stay true to our values as social workers? Please join us for the Annual AUCCCSWT Summit on June 6-7 to start exploring answers to these complex questions.
